Last year, Excel was proud to raise money for The Whitechapel Centre (their 2023 charity partner).

Throughout the year, we provided the charity with monthly donations and joined in their fundraising efforts. This includes stepping out of the office and into the streets for their annual Sleepout event and receiving a Certificate of Awesomeness.

But, if you ask us, The Whitechapel Centre deserves its own awesomeness award.

Here’s why:

The Whitechapel Centre takes homelessness seriously. For the past 30 years, they have worked on the frontlines to help resolve homelessness, social exclusion and housing-related poverty across Liverpool. In 2021 alone, they:

• Supported 3807 people with housing difficulties
• Prevented 1447 cases of homelessness
• Ensured 2259 people accessed housing
